Cable System Continued

After a few hours (read days) I was done with the 8-pin CPU cable and 24-pin ATX cable, and I liked how it looked. The black sleeve had been quite a pain to get stretched, while keeping everything else in place, but when it finally sat there I held it in place with a few drops of glue.

The process of getting all the cables into place was quite messy, though. Not only did I have to remember which cable went where so that I didn't fry anything when booting for the first time, but I also had to keep them all from getting over 5mm in height.

This was especially tough with the connectors, and I had to cut most of them off. In the end I was left with a huge plate that made all the cables magically appear and go into their respective power-hungry plugs. The job was done - now to see if it fitted.

As Jim Carrey so famously said in Ace Ventura - 'Like a glove!' The plate went right into place after gluing it together and using some rather toxic green looking fluids as weights. Another chapter was completed, and probably the one that took the most work.
